This course provides essential knowledge of human Anatomy and Physiology to support safe, effective, and professional practice in beauty therapy, massage therapy, and holistic wellness. Learners will understand how body systems function and interact, how they respond to stress and relaxation, and how this knowledge supports client assessment, safe treatment planning, and improved therapeutic outcomes. This course forms the foundation for study in beauty, massage, or holistic therapy and is an integral part of some of the courses or a pre-entry requirement.
No prior experience is required. The Certificate in Anatomy and Physiology is open to all candidates.

On successful completion of this course, learners will be able to:
Define key anatomical and physiological terms and apply correct body terminology in a therapy setting.
Explain the structure and function of major body systems and how they contribute to health and wellbeing.
Describe how the muscular, skeletal, circulatory, and nervous systems relate to massage therapy, movement, and recovery.
Recognize basic physiological responses to stress, relaxation, exercise, and therapeutic touch.
Apply anatomy and physiology knowledge to support safe treatment planning, client communication, and professional practice.
