Deep tissue massage is a therapeutic technique that targets the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues. It is designed to release chronic muscle tension using slow, deliberate strokes and sustained, direct pressure applied across the grain of the muscles. This method is particularly effective for addressing areas of deep seated tightness, improving range of motion, and relieving pain.
Ideal for individuals experiencing persistent muscle discomfort, sports related injuries, or those engaged in heavy physical activity, deep tissue massage supports physical recovery while also promoting overall well-being by enhancing circulation and reducing stress.
OBJECTIVE
This course aims to develop professional competence in Deep Tissue Massage, enabling learners to safely and effectively deliver deep tissue massage to the general public. The program focuses on slow, focused pressure and advanced techniques to help release chronic muscle tension, improve mobility, and relieve discomfort, in line with international standards.
Upon completion, learners will gain the practical and theoretical skills required to perform deep tissue massage using correct techniques, hygiene and sanitation standards, professional client care, and appropriate aftercare advice. Graduates will be prepared to pursue employment opportunities in the local and global spa and wellness industry and may also establish their own wellness practice or business, including a wellness center or spa, as well as mobile and home-visit massage services.
